2018 Scholarship

  1.   Submit a completed application (to be added December, 2017)
  2. Be enrolled or approved for admission to an accredited college level institution. Submit official transcripts of classed attended prior to the year the scholarship is to be awarded.
  3. Have a Grade Point Average of 3.5 or above, out  of 4.0 (or equivalent)
  4. Be a resident of Oregon and a United States citizen.
  5. Be of "Italian American" decent with at least one ancestor that can be certified to have emigrated from Italy
  6. Submit at least two letters of recommendation from teachers, professors or educational administrators
  7. Submit a current resume outlining extracurricular activities, work experience and volunteer services
  8. Submit a 500 to 750 word essay related to how Italian language, culture and/or heritage has impacted the applicant's life and values
  9. Family members or the IBC and IBC Foundation membership are eligible to submit an application.  Previous scholarship recipients are eligible.
  10. One $1,750 scholarship will be awarded annually.  However, awards may be delayed or cancelled at the sole discretion of the IBC Foundation board
  11. Monetary awards will be awarded directly to the recipient's academic institution on their behalf and in accordance with eligibility requirements. 
  12. Applications and information submitted will be reviewed and the final selection and the final selection will be made by the IBC Foundation board.
